India’s Basmati rice Export Data
India maintained its dominance in Basmati rice exports in the financial year 2023–2024, with Saudi Arabia and Iran leading as top importers.
Saudi Arabia imported 1,098,042.27 metric tons, valued at USD 1,252.99 million, while Iran purchased 670,781.77 metric tons, worth USD 679.75 million.
The total export for the year stood at 5,242,048.5 metric tons, generating USD 5,837.2 million, with an average price of USD. 1,114 per metric ton. Key markets such as Iraq, Yemen, and the UAE further contributed to India’s global prominence in premium rice exports.
